Chuck Simundson is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He entered the financial services field in 1996 and earned his certified financial planning designation in 2000 and became a Branch Manager in 2008. Prior to that, he worked for the Province of Manitoba for 13 years. He spent time as a Labour Adjustment Advisor and as Manager of Special Programs in the Apprenticeship Branch.
Chuck loves the practice of financial planning. He adheres to a disciplined approach that begins with developing a thorough understanding of each client’s priorities and concerns.
He analyzes his clients' situation and designs a comprehensive report that features a step-by-step action plan for realizing their goals. This plan includes strategies for tax reduction, investment, risk management and if requested, estate planning.
In 2007, Chuck accepted the challenge of teaching a 4th year finance course for the I.H. Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba. Students who complete this course, Personal Financial Planning II and a program of seven other courses, are eligible to sit the CFP examination. The CFP designation is part of an international accreditation program for the development and enforcement of competency and ethics standards. Chuck taught this course for 3 years and enjoyed every minute of it.
